Our name “Capelle” is a reflection of what we aim to do – help companies achieve “Capability Excellence”. Formed from a merger of two companies, OTi Consulting and SDC Consulting, the company was first known as “OTi-SDC Consulting”. One year later on 1 February 2011, we were renamed “Capelle Consulting” – an integrated solutions provider helping companies build human capabilities in three areas: Culture and Mindset, Competence and HR Systems and Structures.

OTi Consulting

OTi Consulting was incorporated in 1982 as an international HR/Organizational Development (OD) consultancy firm, specializing in Total Organization Renewal. This approach to improving clients’ business performance is OTi Consulting’s distinctive competitive advantage amongst other management consultancies. What made this technique unique and compelling was its strong focus on the development of strategy, organizational infrastructure and implementation solutions systems to meet the greater needs of its clients. In addition, OTi Consulting ensured that every application of its Total Organization Renewal (TOR) process is strictly guided by their operating values of Integrity, Innovation, Involvement, and Intrapreneurship. 


Over a span of almost 25 years, OTi Consulting won numerous awards including SPRING Singapore Partner of the Year Award 2001, SPRING Singapore People Partner Award 2001 (People Developer Standard), People Developer Certification (2001, 2005, 2008), Singapore Quality Class (2003, 2008), Singapore Innovation Class (2005), Singapore Family Friendly Award (2004), Work-Life Excellence Award (2008, 2010), Human Resources Magazine – HR Vendors of the Year (2007, 2008, 2009) and SCORE’s special recognition award in 2007.  


As a strategic partner to both public and private organizations in the transformation of their corporate culture and business growth strategy formulation, OTi Consulting developed a regional network spread over international hubs including China, The UAE, The Philippines and Singapore.  

SDC Consulting

SDC Consulting was founded in 1995, focusing on developing proprietary materials, rather than selling those already available in the market. In line with its original obligation of meeting the situational needs of clients operating in Asia-Pacific, SDC Consulting was the first known company in the region to produce video tapes, DVD’s and CD-ROMs to improve learning effectiveness. Over the years, many products and services were continually added and improved, to suit the changing external and internal challenges faced by organizations.  


One such example is the People Development Program, which was re-packaged in 200 5/6 as the flagship People Leadership Program (PLP). With a distinct competitive advantage in its ability to offer integrated OD/HR solutions, SDC Consulting grew into a respected and dynamic service provider, attracting clients from Asia-Pacific and beyond. In addition, SDC Consulting was also proficient in the contextualized implementation of single site as well as multi-sited projects across various geographies. 


Over time, SDC Consulting also expanded its operations outside of Singapore. In 1997, the first overseas office was opened in Shanghai, China. Through a number of partnerships and joint ventures throughout Asia- Pacific, SDC Consulting has seen growth both locally and overseas. Notable partnerships include those with ST College, NTUC, Strathclyde Graduate Business School and Selangor HR Development Council in Kuala Lumpur.
